Clappin Thunder is a beautifully conformed, May 2001 son of Molotov out of the highly productive brood matron, Solar Bear, by Minaki Zeke. Racing on the tough Derby Lane/Tampa circuit, he went to grade A in 5 starts,and never fell below the top grade thereafter.  He always gave a good account of himself, despite facing the likes of Ben Awhile, WW Apple Jax, Caymen Went, Rooftop Moby,USS Westpoint, Flying Earnhardt, Fuzzys Cannon and Narmada among other notibles day in and day out.  Despite this high level of competition, Clappin Thunder complied an impressive record of 30-18-10-5 in 75 starts which translates to finishing "in the money" an incredible 84% of the time. He led at the first call in 46 of his 75 starts offical races,being undoubtedly one of the most pacey and brilliant competitors of his era, yet one who could get the full 550 yards. In his 30 victories his average winning margin was nearly 3 lengths. His sire and damsire, Molotov and Minaki Zeke, respectively need no introduction. He is from extraordinary litter, and Irishfemale line, which has produced top greyhounds, generation after generation, in both Ireland and the USA.
